The Mystery calls: I take you out into the expanse, I free you, because I desire you.

You shall not oppress the stranger, for you know the soul of the stranger, and you know the pain of oppression. (Exodus 23:9)

On this Shabbat before Passover we will prepare ourselves for yitziat mitzrayim—the going out of the narrow places into the expanse. Prayer, meditation and reflection will guide us in softening our hearts, widening our perspectives and journeying through the wilderness.
