Sukkot Second Day: Gather and Plant
On Sukkot, we gather and plant. We gather what we have discovered and who we have become over this past year and we plant ideas, thoughts, dreams and visions that came to us during our journeys through Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.
On the second day of Sukkot, we ask ourselves: What seeds, what intentions, can I place al levevecha — upon my heart — to grow and blossom in their time?
To be like a tree, deeply rooted by streams of water,
That brings forth fruit in its time,
Whose leaves always thrive,
And whose every deed flourishes.
— Psalm 1:1
