Clearing out the Chamaytz

During these days of Nisan, we search out the chamaytz—the attitudes and habits that bind us to fear and cause us to feel separate and unable to live and love fully.

With gentle strength, we notice what causes our judgments to arise and where we are apt to be harsh or unkind.

As we search, we place upon our hearts the intention to replace judgment with curiosity and harshness with interest and imagination.

This is a practice we do again and again, and each time we clear out chamaytz—the attitudes and thoughts that keep us bound—we open the way to loving, compassionate relationships.
