Here in the wilderness,

A view from Sinai,

A call to remember

The heart of the matter:

The earth is sacred.

Life is a gift.

And everything belongs to the Mystery we call God.

We are sojourners here,

Passing through,

And making our mark

Upon this intricate web of existence.

All that we have,

All that we’ve earned,

All we have created and received

Are gifts we have been given,

Ours to hold lightly

And ours

To give away.
