Pre-Election Intention
Dear Friends,
Out of the waves of creation and the swells of destruction
Comes a new call,
Lech Lecha,
Go.
You are necessary.
Your life and gifts are needed for the well being of the whole.
Go.
Step into the unknown,
Act for blessing.
Each of us is being called.
Called to be courageous,
Called to be true,
Called to believe that how we live matters.
We are called to remember that we are not better
Or more important than the trees, rivers,
Birds, fish, oceans or mountains.
Rather, we are called to remember we are all interconnected
We are all necessary
And we are here to bring blessing
Through the choices we make,
The words we speak,
And the ways we walk through life.
As we go towards these last days before the election,
Let’s set an intention to take care, to pause, to steady ourselves.
As we begin each day it could be helpful to say:
I align myself with love for the sake of healing, for tzedek, for shalom.
Lech Lecha, may we go deep, may we go wide,
And may we rise together into a world,
Where love, truth, dignity, justice and peace prevail.
Shalom and much blessing,
Rabbi Yael
