Abiding in Presence and Gratitude: A Way In Omer Retreat

With Rabbi Yael Levy

May 15-18, 2025, Himalayan Institute, Honesdale, PA

Days 32-35 of the Omer

Dear Friends,

I am excited to be returning to the beautiful Himalayan Institute during the fifth week of the Omer, which brings the energy of Hod: Presence, Awareness, Gratitude.

Through sitting and walking meditation, prayer, chanting, shared reflections and the wonders of spring, we will open to the gifts and teachings of Hod. Our time together will include lag b’omer, the 33rd day of the Omer, which is a special time for gathering and celebration.

After our festive dinner on Thursday evening, we will enter into shared silence until Sunday, creating a sacred vessel for our practice. The silence will help us focus, be present and listen into the heartbeat of Hod.

During the retreat we will open the silence mindfully to pray, chant, explore teachings and share reflections with each other.

Our practices will include:

• Sitting and Walking Meditation
• Prayer, Song, Chanting and Movement
• Exploration of Psalms
Hitbodedut: Meditative Encounter
• Shared Reflections

I pray that the energy of Hod will call us present with loving strength, revealing our great capacity to be messengers for healing and peace.

I look forward to our explorations together.

Blessings,
Rabbi Yael

“A beautiful experience in every way. I am deeply grateful!”

“Teachings were just right in intention and length. I loved being back in person. Body prayer outside at night was sweet.”

Throughout the retreat silence will fill the spaces in between, a sacred vessel that holds us and guides us.
