Chanukah Day 7
Or Chayim  Sitting in the Light of Life

The realm of mystery tells us, you live in a world full of light and life. Know the great reality, the richness of existence that you always encounter. Everywhere you turn, in everything you do, you encounter sparks full of life and light. You help them and they help you. Rav Kook, The Glory of Life

On this seventh day of Chanukah and Rosh Hodesh Tevet, we sit in Or Chayim, the light of life, opening ourselves to the mysterious life force that shines through all the worlds.

Taking our seats, we gently let our attention rest on the sensations of the breath being received and released. After a few minutes, we set an intention to experience each breath as the life force moving through us. Each breath is a reminder that the life force that moves the tides also causes trees to root and bud, guides the migration of birds and butterflies, and moves in each and all of us. With each breath we affirm our relationship with the life force and we open ourselves to receive guidance, support and love from the light of life.

With each breath comes guidance, support and love from the light of life.

We close the meditation with this verse from Psalms: I walk in the Presence of the One in the light of life. (Psalm 56:14)
