A Prayer for Entering the New Year 5782

As we stand on the threshold of the New Year,

May the skies encourage a vast perspective that opens us to possibilities not yet imagined.

May the fires of devotion inspire loving and courageous offerings of our hearts and hands.

May the earth’s generosity and wisdom guide our every step.

May the waters lift and carry us with trust and care.

Let it be that in 5782, the gates open and together we bring to life this call from the psalmist:

Love and truth meet.

Justice and peace embrace. (Psalm 85:11)

May healing come to all beings and all earth.
