On the Other Side of the Mountain

Dear Friends,

We have just finished a powerful, generous 49-day practice.

And now what?

I often feel somewhat lost after the Omer, missing the focus and intention this time calls forth and provides.

In these moments, like so many others, I turn to psalms for guidance, to help direct my attention and ground my days.

Here are verses from psalms 51-57 to take us from the fiftieth day into this new season. I hope one of these calls from the ancient ones rings in your soul.

Take notice, the Infinite calls forth innermost truths,

Help me be aware of hidden wisdom.
Psalm 51:8

Yes, I am like a thriving olive tree in the house of God.

I trust in Chesed, Divine overflowing love,

Into the mystery and beyond.

Psalm 52:10

The Source of All gazes from deep heights

To see if there is a person who has the awareness

And good sense to seek the Divine in all.
Psalm 53:3

Behold, the Divine Source is my help,

The Infinite Mystery supports my soul.
Psalm 54:6

Send forth your burdens to the Infinite One,

The Infinite Presence will receive them and sustain you.
Psalm 55:23

This I know, the Source of All is with me.
Psalm 56:10

I call on the Most High. I call on the Infinite One who completes me.

Send forth love. Send forth truth.
Psalm 57:3-4

I look forward to continuing the journey together as we make our way into this new wilderness.

Love and Blessings to all.

Shalom,

Rabbi Yael
