Parshat Vayakhel Pekudei: We Carry the Sacred With and Within US

As the book of Exodus draws to a close

The work of creating the Mishkan, the sacred Dwelling of the Divine,

Comes to rest.

The Mishkan has been fashioned with gifts of insight, awe and generosity

And the awareness that what we have to offer is enough.

As we lift the Sacred Dwelling to carry it with us wherever we go,

The kavod hashem, the Glory of the Infinite, calls

            Pause. Stop. Rest. Be.

This will help keep your soul vibrant and in connection to all.

            Practice discernment,

Acknowledge confusion and watch for clarity.

Be patient as clouds shift and pass.

Honor your gifts. Make your offerings,

What you have to offer will help weave the sacred into the world.

            Be open to guidance,

As life continues to challenge, surprise and delight you.

For there will always be signs helping you find your way.

May we go forward sharing our strengths

And may our journeys be for healing, blessing and peace.

A Blessing for the Spring Equinox arriving on March 20

As the earth’s journey delivers us to spring,

Let us notice the tiny green shoots,

The purple crocuses,

And the bright yellow daffodils that push through the hard ground.

Let us be encouraged by their strength and feel blessed by their beauty.

Let us believe in possibilities we have not yet seen.

Shalom,
