Draw Close

We begin Vayikra, the third book of the Torah, this week.
May echoes from these ancient texts guide us.

As Vayikra opens, the Infinite calls:

Draw close.
Draw close to Mystery.
Draw close to the Sacred,
Draw close to the Life Force connecting us all.

Draw close, the Presence calls,
I am vast beyond knowing
And as intimate as each breath.

Draw close
And make your offerings.

Find willingness,
Express gratitude,
Bestow goodness,
Offer forgiveness.

Turn toward each other
With compassionate, loving care.

Every action taken,
Every choice made,
Affects the whole.

Draw close in your truths,
Vulnerabilities, tenderness and strengths,
Uncertainty will receive you and show you the way.

I am here in every moment, the Infinite declares,
In every detail of this unfolding life.
Draw close,
Let me come through your offerings.
Reveal me in this fragile, quaking, wondrous world.
Draw close.
